The 38th Miyawaki Mini-Forest is here!
“What drives you forward?” – asked the cover of the July thematic issue of Forbes magazine.
For us, it’s tree planting – taking action even when many just shrug or freeze upon reading the “it’s all over anyway” news coming from the media.
As part of an exciting collaboration, we prepared for the planting of the 38th Miyawaki mini-forest of 10 Million Trees starting in the spring of 2025.
THE STORY
From invisible ads to a real forest!
Four brands committed to using the funds intended for full-page ads to plant a Miyawaki mini-forest instead.
If the magazine’s readers searched for the missing, thus invisible, ad page numbers and entered them on the page that appeared after scanning the QR code, the ads that were not printed appeared.
10 Million Trees, together with the participating companies’ employees and the Csepel Municipality, planted the mini-forest by the end of October.
On forty square meters, one hundred and twenty native trees and forty shrubs were planted.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
From experience, we know that the twigs, which may seem a bit scrawny today, will transform into a lush grove in a year, and in two to three years, the canopies of the planted trees will close together, delighting passersby as a cooling, oxygen-producing oasis.
