Public Seedling Registration Begins!
On the occasion of the 2025 National Tree Planting Day, we distributed 20,000 saplings at 20 locations, with great success.
Encouraged by this, this year we are doubling our efforts, seeking caring adopters for 40,000 saplings at 40 locations across the country.

The 10 Million Trees initiative is offering a total of 40,000 bare-rooted forestry saplings, measuring 20–50 centimeters, for adoption.

Last year’s experience shows that the saplings run out quickly – if you also want to plant a sapling in your garden, apply and register now for the saplings!

SAPLING INFO: THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTS
What should you know about forestry saplings?
These saplings, small beginnings of life, can now get a chance from you: they not only need to be planted but also protected and cared for until they are strong enough. In return, they will later provide shade, cleaner air, and a more livable environment for you.
🌱Therefore, we are looking for committed, caring adopters for them! 🪣💦🌳
On the registration platform, you can select:
📍 location • ⏰ time slot • 🌳 tree species
There will be, for example, ashes, elms, maples, oaks, poplars, and various shrubs – the selection may vary by location.
✅ A maximum of 10 saplings can be requested per planting location.
📦 Approximately 1,000 saplings will find new homes at each distribution point.
💚 Adoption is free with only 4 conditions:
- You agree that the planting location will be added to the National Tree Planting Day map on the www.1fo1fa.hu website, making the location part of the 10 Million Trees community.
- By registering, you subscribe to the 10 Million Trees newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time. 🙂
- You commit to planting the saplings preferably on the day of collection, or at the latest the next day, in a fenced garden. (They are not suitable for public planting – planting instructions will be provided.)
- You commit to caring for the young tree for the necessary period, but at least for 3 years: regularly watering it during the summer months.
