We planted 745 trees in the Szépvölgyi Forest.

At the beautifully stunning Szépvölgyi Forest, the following conversation took place at the end of the planting, as a long farewell.

and the organizers of the 10 Million Trees initiative. 

TRUE AUTUMN

It was damp, humid, and penetratingly cold, a Christmas gift hunting silver Saturday, and otherwise a workday. At the start of the event, we stood alongside many tough guys from Főkert, with Misu and the prepared 1000 trees, and of course the mulled wine. I may not be significant in terms of planting, but my mulled wine is said to be legendary 🙂. 
Then the core group arrived on the BKV bus running along Szépvölgyi Road. Joking aside, we have a volunteer team, visible in the picture, who come rain or shine.
And in the end, they express their gratitude. One of them specifically said that he is driven by completely selfish reasons; he loves planting trees and wouldn’t miss it for anything.
And the FŐKERT guys, not only are they professionally prepared and push through with full force, but they also speak with touching enthusiasm about the trees and the forest we visit and are currently planting, being kind and helpful.
Then they thank us too.

And of course, we thank everyone and everything.

745 TREES WERE PLANTED IN THE END

In the end, we managed to plant 745 trees in their new home, and the endless supply of mulled wine and tea in thermoses greatly helped this small but capable team succeed.

Especially for the hope that these events inspire in us.

Now 255 little trees remain; we will take care of them and continue after the holidays. Come join us for planting too!
