💦 Water playhouse, T-shirt sale, water gun battle, delicious food, and great atmosphere – the Locsolakoma and Volunteer Water Giving initiative kicked off on June 15 at Etele Square!
Climate change is increasingly challenging our city, and the first 3–5 years are a critical period for newly planted trees, as their root systems are not yet fully developed, making them particularly vulnerable to drought. 🌍🌳
That is why we have joined forces for Budapest’s green future: the program is implemented in collaboration with the Capital City Municipality, FŐKERT, 10 Million Trees, and the developers of the Beeco eco-application.

Feast for the watering heroes – Potluck food
In the summer heat, we humans seek shade and refresh ourselves with cold drinks. But our shade-giving trees cannot hide, nor can they ask for help.
Therefore, the 10 Million Trees Foundation, in collaboration with the Budapest Capital Municipality, the BKM Főkert Division, and the developers of the Beeco application, is launching a campaign to water and save the city’s trees – with active involvement from the public.
WE NEED THE TREES – BUT THE TREES NEED US TOO!
If we do not cool our cities with living green spaces, urban life will become unbearable in the long run.
At the event, we were honored by the presence of Gergely Karácsony, the Mayor of Budapest, Sándor Bardóczi, the Chief Landscape Architect of Budapest, Péter Dezsényi, the Director General of the BKM Főkert Division, and Iván András Bojár, the leader of the 10 Million Trees community.
It was fantastic!
