What will your tasks be as an ambassador? How does it work?
The Volunteer Water Donation Ambassadors (hereinafter: Ambassadors) help raise funds by promoting the cause on their own social media platforms.
You can apply to be an Ambassador on this form if you haven’t already signed up.
Anyone can become an Ambassador. The strength of the ambassador campaign lies in the fact that it appears on many different individuals’ platforms, using their personal tone, thus ensuring it reaches further than just a central media outlet. Ambassadors can collect even smaller amounts, which are easier to visualize as being raised, hence there is generally a greater willingness to donate (we hope), and many small contributions add up.
Every Ambassador who fills out the form will receive a personalized landing page with card payment options that we will create, depending on the number of applicants, within 1-2 days. This page will display the ambassador’s name and the amount they aim to raise. A slider will show what percentage of the pledged amount has been collected.

Every ambassador who raises at least 30,000 HUF in donations will receive a Volunteer Water Donor t-shirt.
The fundraising campaign will run from August 24, 2025, to September 30, 2025. You can join at any time, even in the last days. Ambassadors commit to posting encouraging content on their social media platforms about the fundraising at least once every 1-2 weeks. You will find sample posts below, but of course, it is more authentic to post freely and personally.

What happens to the collected amount?
Card payments are processed through a secure Stripe payment interface and are deposited into the 10 Million Trees bank account. Credit card payments are made directly to the 10 Million Trees bank account with references provided on the collection interface. The funds can be identified based on the codes in the reference, indicating which campaign the money is for; therefore, displaying these amounts on the campaign page slider is not automatic and may take a few days for the administrators to upload.

As a donor I committed to raising X HUF to save young trees in the capital.
Dear friends and acquaintances, please contribute to the collection so that as many trees as possible can survive the prolonged drought in the capital. The collected amount will be used by the 10 Million Trees Foundation to provide life-giving water to young trees in the capital with a watering truck, as the top layers of the soil have long been lacking the necessary amount of water.
With a contribution of 4,000 HUF, a tree receives water five times.
12,000 HUF covers the entire summer watering of a tree.

The Volunteer Water Donation campaign was launched in mid-June as a unique collaboration between the Municipality of Budapest, the BKM Főkert division, the 10 Million Trees Foundation, and the developers of the beeco eco-application to protect young trees in the capital.
Thousands of beeco app downloads, numerous buckets of water, and “full house” community watering events have indicated that many people care about keeping young trees alive, even though it is no small task to provide at least 50 liters of water to the small trees each week.
Unfortunately, despite the storms and the mild weather, the lack of moisture in the soil has reached dramatic levels.
Many of us are fighting shoulder to shoulder with great effort against the drought, but we see that it is now bordering on impossible to reach every tree often enough. The 10 Million Trees Foundation is striving to deliver life-giving water to those trees that are hard to access for the residents with watering trucks throughout the summer. We will continue watering until the end of September for sure, but if the weather demands, we will keep going.

A week (or two) has passed since the launch of the Volunteer Water Donation follower campaign. Z percent of the pledged amount has been collected! Thank you very much for helping to keep the young trees of Budapest alive and for assisting me in fulfilling my follower commitment!

We were so successful that we collected the pledged amount in just one week, so I am raising the stakes and aiming to collect an additional 150% by the end of the campaign. More money means more watering – more trees, more future!
